Our town looks beautiful covered with snow, but it is discouraging to know Wellfleet may see another blizzard this weekend.
As we wait, here’s some local news you can use:
- From the Community Forum: "The Town is in the process of updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan. An update is necessary to qualify for State reimbursement programs for acquisition and protection of important open space. This survey is being conducted as part of the update in order to understand the needs and concerns of the community of Wellfleet regarding open space and recreation. 'Open Space' in this survey is defined as publicly accessible undeveloped lands which are important for a variety of reasons, including: Harbor and ground water quality, passive recreation, or simply because of their scenic qualities and their contributions to the overall character of the Town. Please take a few minutes to answer all of the applicable questions."
- Main Street will be closed today Thursday for snow removal.
- The breach at Ballston Beach in Truro is wider than ever before. Truro town officials are worried about the Pamet River being affected. You can read about it in the Provincetown Banner. We are fortunate nothing similar is happening in Wellfleet.
