Wellfleet's Farmers Market will begin with a bang this year by staging a huge plant sale.
I intend to pick up some cucumber plants and a few sunflower seedlings. What could be better than organic plants, grown by organic farmers? The market takes place behind Preservation Hall and runs from 8 to 12. Here's the opportunity to buy fresh Cape Cod eggs. They taste so much better than the ordinary variety found in most supermarkets. Last year we had a mushroom man, too. The pork has been amazing. No hormones, no artificial flavor. One merchant may offer cheese in 2015. And, in Wellfleet, we get to shop while being serenaded by Wellfleet musicians. Our market is a great way to experience the local community. How's them apples?
