I cannot remember a time when so much interesting real estate was available in town.
For instance, the Customs House, on Duck Creek, is available. The owners are moving out west. The property has been a shop for many years. Beautiful pottery was made on the premises. I bet the Customs House has a lot of history. The building existed before the marina was built. The building was even there before Uncle Tim's Bridge. If you are curious to know the history of the place, stop in and ask Peg, or go to the Wellfleet Historical Society and Museum, which offers walking tours Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9:30. An extra walk has been added this summer at four on Thursdays.
